PASCALE ST-ONGE INVITES ALL YOUTH IN THE RIDING TO APPLY FOR THE NEXT YOUTH COUNCIL
22 novembre 2021
Pascale St-Onge, Member of Parliament for the riding of
Brome–Missisquoi, invites all young Canadians from the ages of 15-30 to apply to her 2021-2022
Brome–Missisquoi Youth Council.
What? The Constituency Youth Council is an opportunity for youth to learn about Canada’s political process, discuss their viewpoints on issues, and most importantly, get involved in their communities. In previous councils, youth have discussed the importance of climate change, public safety issues, the work of a Member of Parliament and the various parliamentary tasks. This year's council will have the opportunity to decide on topics of discussion and to engage in projects that will have a positive impact on our community. It is important to note that the activities are not partisan.
When? The Brome–Missisquoi Youth Council will meet several times a year, and will take place throughout the school year, from December 2021 to June 2022.
Why? Giving a voice to youth is essential for our government, as they will bring new ideas on issues affecting our community, and our country. For her, the Brome–Missisquoi MP, Pascale St-Onge, will act as a spokesperson for these youth and ensure that discussions and actions are heard in Ottawa.
How? To apply, candidates must complete and submit the application form available below. The deadline to apply is December 10, 2021.
